Pillow selection can be a factor for a side sleeper.   The normal "cushy" pillow will have a tendency to push the mask to the opposite side of the face.  You may wish to consider something like a buckwheat pillow, which is less pliable and can be formed to avoid any mask interference.

I will second Crimson Nape's recommendation. I got a buckwheat chaff pillow and it made a world of difference. There is a lot of info. on the internet. I got mine from Amazon for $49. It is the most comfortable pillow I've ever used but, most importantly, I can mold it to support my neck and stabilize my head position to prevent chin tucks. My AHIs and flow limitation data improved immediately.

The pillow I got has pieces of foam as well as buckwheat chaff to make it a little softer. If you search for CPAP pillows on Amazon you will find it.

I tried several pillows before purchasing a buckwheat pillow. It is by far the best pillow I have used.
