Need AirCurve 10 ASV advice

So, I was prescribed AirCurve 10 VAuto (8.0 - 12.0); however, I consistently get over 100 CAs every night, parts of my body go numb and prickly, headaches, etc. I raise the issue with the doc, they do another sleep study, but it goes nowhere. I've read that ASV may help with CAs and the only difference between the two AirCurves is the firmware. Can somebody help with advice, whatever. I am out of options.

You're likely referring to AirBreak to enable one machine to act like another. I don't recall exactly how to do it, but be aware it was a conceptual act, to prove it can be done only. It's not meant now to make your VAuto into the ASV. Some others have tried it, and the hacked version is missing some aspects of the real machine therapy. It was used to see if cheap CPAP therapy can become the more expensive machines during COVID.

I am going to suggest a few things you need to do. First you call your prescribing physician and request the sleep study detailed report. You are in the US so HIPAA law gives you the ability to request and receive without refusal. You can then post that report here for us to help decipher, post redacted of your personal info.

Big info is were the CA present in that diagnostic. If yes, this should change the doctor's therapy direction towards the ASV, the device for Central Apnea treatment.

Also while on the phone with doc, tell them how bad your therapy is with these CA.

Were these Central Apnea/CA present in the study? How bad numbers wise?

PS if this doctor wants you to repeat sleep studies maybe they don't have any clue how to treat CA. Again get the study report in hand. Call your primary doctor and ask for a script to ASV if that's what you want.

While the only difference between all series 10 CPAPs is the firmware, locating firmware will prove to be a lesson in futility.   Please post another screenshot with the Details panel displayed.   Please use the F12 key for Windows, or for a Mac use the Fn+F12 key combo, to take the screenshot.   You may still have a few options with your current model.

Your screen resolution is so low, it does not include all the left side data. Please take another screenshot, specifically all the "Device Settings" data.

Actually, I'm running OSCAR in the high resolution mode because my monitor is 4K and the formatting of OSCAR is weird. Here is the screenshot, with High Rez mode off. I hope it shows what you need.

BTW, I don't know why it shows PS as 0. I have it at 4 actually.

Do you have your sleep study to post? It'll help identify these CA so you can be treated better.

Does S mode permit you to edit Trigger? If you're not now, try Trigger High or Very High to help slightly with the CA.

With this many, your best answer is work on the doctor to get the CA recognized and properly treated.

I'm not sure if they ever given me the study. I'll search my email. Yes, I can edit trigger. I thought I need to use low trigger, to get the machine to kick in easier?

You want the other direction to get high or very high sensitivity in calling for a trigger to get IPAP.

It may not help much but try it.

Call the doctor's office soon for the study. Most will not just hand it out to the patient, you'll need to request it.
