Need help moving settings from Dreamstation auto bilevel to Vauto

RE: Need help moving settings from Dreamstation auto bilevel to Vauto
Ok. First off, I am about computer illiterate at this point. I had a head injury and lost that ability. I tried to follow the wiki but it’s for 1.01 and I updated to 1.02. There are differences. I couldn’t get f12 to work on the new computer and I have no one capable of helping me. So I am doing this a bit differently from my phone.

First off, with the settings stated yesterday, his AHI was 0.76. No centrals. Obstructive was 0.76.

That’s awesome, however, he had a hard time falling asleep due to a variety of other issues and I noticed that the report shows his RR went from 8.2 min, med was 20, 95% was 23.8 and max was scary, 30.8.
Could this be due to his settings on PS?

His min pressure was 13.02, 14.9max. Lower than the Dreamstation showed.

Settings are 9-18 with PS4. Triggers remain on default of medium.

I know you want the screenshot but I can’t figure it out.

So, no centrals! Yay! But as he said, it’s just 1 night but it’s significantly better than his Dreamstation results. He’s feeling ok, so I think the respiratory rate was him getting used to the new algorithm. He had no snores and barely a leak. If I could get the same results I would be very happy. I am between 2-3.5 AHI consistently.

Thoughts?
Thanks

Are you using a Windows computer or Mac?

Windows PC you'd push F12 but Mac has a slightly different button press combo. Not sure what it is though, sorry.

Not certain in the pressure differences but a ResMed responds faster to events so maybe it need not have gone as high as it's responding to more and maybe staying somewhat elevated more often. Just a maybe.

PS the no Centrals will be a big win. These are hard to combat without an ASV, Adaptive Servo Ventilator. Any AHI below 5 as treated can be OK as long as good rest and comfort accompany it.

Thank you Dave. I was worried that an ASV was needed. Will watch his data. I am truly amazed at the difference between the Dreamstation and Resmed algorithms. Our first, awesome pulmonologist raved about Resmed’s algorithm back in 2001 when I started. He drew out what the wave pattern differences were and thoroughly explained the hows and whys of them.  Now they must be much improved.

I’ve tried for 10 years to get him back on a Resmed, tried to explain the difference he would feel and he fought change. Today he told me that he wished he’d listened 10 years ago.

Thanks again!

Your quite welcome. The differences between ResMed and Respironics is still there. Typically ResMed is faster yet more comfortable responding to events. The Respironics falls on its face a lot, and will miss a lot of events unless pressures are higher. Then you'd lose comfort.
