Don't know where in the US you are located, but I have found that many clinics and local hospitals offer care to people who do not have insurance and will do a sleep study for you either for free or at a greatly reduced cost (10%) based on your income level. they get these things donated to them in the form of time and money and it is a use it or lose it approach so they help as many people as they can. They may have a waiting list but they can be of help. Regardless, it is good that you are getting treatment, good luck.

Ew, I never thought of that before!

How many people here wash a soda can before opening and drinking out of it? There is only so much you can really do...

I just wish people would quit coughing and sneezing into their open hands. Sneeze on your elbow and stop spreading germs and virus on everything you touch and all who shake your hand. eeewThumbs-down-1

..and yes, I wash the top of all cans that I open. And I never pick my nose if anyone is watching. Cold

But seriously, I agree that you can only do so much and I've seen people who break all the rules of cleanliness and hygiene and never get ill. Like anything else, you can run it in the ground and break it off or you can be reasonable about it and just quit double dipping into the salsa after you've had that chip in your mouth and put your cooties on it.

I think the word 'reasonable' comes into play here. I am a Pepsi fiend, and (almost) never wash cans. I do wash my hands at least twice per day, and if doing any meal prep. I tend to believe that not all 'germs' are bad, kids eating dirt is OK, and sharing kisses with my dogs hasn't hurt me in 50+ years. I swap spit with my wife daily - and we've even shared a toothbrush (not a regular or wanted thing).

I double-dip salsa only with my wife, but never in public. And I tell people I never pick my nose Tongue
