Okay how about this question then? What advantage would selecting a single pressure provide over a very narrow range like I have now (1.0 or less deferential)?

A fixed pressure can help avoid arousals from changing pressure and help to pinpoint an optimum therapy pressure. Variable pressure works well if flow limits are under control and pressure does not jump around unnecessarily. We sometimes ask users to switch from CPAP to APAP, or S-mode to Vauto mode in bilevel, because on some devices the flow limits are not fully reported in CPAP or S-mode. We can get fixed pressure data and have all of the flow limitation data we get with auto-pressure mode.

Hey guys!  Hope you've been sleeping well.  

I've been continuing to keep my Min/Max range under 1.0 with pretty great results.  Last night I had a 0.867 AHI but it was interesting because OA went down to 0.29 and CA to 0.00 (i.e., the AHI was mostly driven by my 0.57 H):

   

   

From what I know, Hypopnea events are considered to be less severe than OAs or CAs.  Is that right?  Is it better to have a slightly higher AHI with less OAs and CAs than a lower AHI with more OAs and CAs?

Brad, these are very important questions and concepts for every *PAP user. Is it better to be choked severely only a couple of times each night or to be choked slightly for an extended period each night. What and how much arousals do each cause?

I'm feeling pretty good the past 2 days.  Based on my chart from last night, do you think I should try kicking it up slightly to 11.0-12.0 or do I not need to go that high with the minimum pressure?

"I'm feeling pretty good the past 2 days", is not a very compelling argument to change settings. Only you can decide if a change is better or worse, but what you're doing is working very well.

Good morning Gents!

I've taken a couple weeks off from posting, but I figured I'd come back today because something pretty amazing happened last night:

   

I honestly didn't know it was possible to see 0.0 across the board!  I'm quite sure it's unlikely that I will ever see this again, but now I know that I've got my pressure settings dialed in exactly where they need to be.

Even better, I actually feel good and fairly energetic this morning!
