Newbie question about AHIs
I’m fairly new to this. I was diagnosed in April and used a loaner Resmed Airsense 10 until about 2 weeks ago. My doctor prescribed bipap because I think she felt sorry for me after my first 2 months were a bit of a disaster. I’ve been using the AirCurve 10 VAuto for exactly two weeks and it is going ok. I’m using the p10 mask and it works better for me than the other masks I have tried. I’m going to get a card and download Oscar but have not yet. My average pressure for the last 14 days has been 12.5 and exp pressure has been 9.5 based on the machine sleep report. Average leaks pretty low at 4 but average AHI is 5.2. Sometimes it’s as high as 8. I’m too new to evaluate this but I would like to know if this pressure is relatively high or low and what you think about the AHIs. It looks like a lot of people have much lower AHI with PAP than I am getting. Thank you ?

RE: Newbie question about AHIs
Welcome to the forum.
We use the detailed data daily view to see what is going on. Most likely we will be able to help you to lower your AHI. How? That depends on what your current settings are. So far all we think we know is the 8 - ? Pressures with a VAuto in your profile. Also those charts typically indicate why your AHI is what it is and what the components of it are, and chart review often indicates what is causing it. Then we can intelligently comment on proper actions.
