OSCAR Vs device data

OSCAR Vs device data
Hi All,
I have query on detailed data plot on OSCAR software

1. Does the OSCAR detect events (apnea, hypopnea and other) from the flow data logged every 40 ms. or Oscar will only show only the data provided by CPAP device ?

2. If so OSCAR detect events, what is the algorithm they are using for detecting events?

Thanks and regards,
Siva, India

On this forum, I learned that Oscar reports the events the instrument detects.

Thanks, but I suspect the OSCAR itself analyze and detects events based on flow and pressure data. Can anyone clarify me with detailed elaboration. Can we check our device efficacy with the help of OSCAR software ?

RE: OSCAR Vs device data
OSCAR only reports events that the CPAP has flagged, and nothing else.  If you are comparing OSCAR's data for a day against the Resmed, the Resmed defaults to monthly data reporting.  You must manually change it to a day.  Also, as soon as you unplug the CPAP, it will return to the monthly reporting.
