RE: OSCAR v1.5.1 released
@OSCAR Team,
Thank you so much!! Excellent! Display is beautiful! Update check working, found out in 1.5.1-alpha, hit the button this afternoon and it said hey go get the update! Got the feels back too!
Wow, that was fast. So many small issues dialed in like no bodies business. Sure wish paid apps responded like this!

thanks!
RE: OSCAR v1.5.1 released
I have edited the announcement post to reflect this:
OSCAR now has support for current 32bit Debain versions. if someone has an older 32bit computer (say running WinXP) and they can install a current version of Debian 32bit, they can run OSCAR. The Debian 32bit installers are available in the Linux tab on the main download page.
We hope that this will accommodate some users with older hardware that would otherwise be unable to run OSCAR.
Please let us know if you find the 32bit Debain versions helpful.
RE: OSCAR v1.5.1 released
Thanks! Was just bit by the upgrade check so really nice with a quick fix!
However:
1.5.0 Installed without issue.
1.5.1 was intercepted by Microsoft Defender SmartScreen
This is not unusual for unsigned binaries from "Unknown Publishers". But all previous versions installed without the warning. I do not know if anything has changed in how the binaries are made? Or maybe Microsoft counts how many clicks "Run anyway" and whitelist based on that? I have never been this early on an OSCAR release before.
Using the (currently) latest updates to Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (version 1.397.1476.0) on Windows 10.
Kind Regards,
clan

@clan
When the smart screen filter pops up click the "more info" at the end of the warning, then select run anyway.

I'm not sure, but I believe something like that is the way Microsoft deals with unknown software installs. Once several people have downloaded and installed it, those warnings seem to disappear after a while. But brand new releases always seem to have these "warnings" initially for the first several people who download & install them.

OSCAR-1.5.1-Win64.exe detected as malware!
WithSecure Elements Agent (F-Secure) reports this file as malware and blocks it!
RE: OSCAR v1.5.1 released
Orgelnisten,
It is not uncommon for AntiVirus apps and Browsers to flag unknown files as dangerous. It is a false positive. You will likely need to add an exception to your AntiVirus software to allow OSCAR. There is no malware, adware, or other questionable code. The source code is freely viewable to everyone.
