Hi jodiramm, That's great that you got the Bella and that you got a good sleep. As far as getting only 6 hours of sleep, just keep hangin' in there, maybe eventually you will get past that 6-hour mark but if you don't, try not to beat up on yourself, just keep trying. CONTINUED SUCCESS!

Yes, that is great news! And my philosophy, for what it is worth, is that any sleep I get on the CPAP, with the AHI numbers I am getting, is better than before the CPAP. I haven't slept through the night on this machine, and some nights are "worse" than others, but I still know I'm better off now.

I, too, love the pillows because I have a very small head. So small in fact, they resp nurse got me trying a nasal mask for 7yr olds! (Thankfully, it was just a tad too small!) I use the Swift FX for her, because the headgear on the standard FX was too large even when adjusted as tight as possible. Even so, I have still had to cut the very ends of the bit which the pillows fit onto, and attach them to the next 'void' back, in order to shorten the length of strap along my cheekbone. I was worried the pillows would keep slipping off the housing but they don't. I was nervous about showing the nurse how I'd butchered the expensive (NHS)headgear, when I went for my three monthly blood gases test, but she was fine. She said she would let me do anything if it increased the chances of me sticking to the therapy.
Now I've seen the LT I might try using that next, because I like that it is 50% smaller in width and lighter, and quieter. I am very lucky in that the area I live in allows me to try an almost endless supply of masks, as long as they can see that I am using the machine every night for at least two or three hours, in other words that I am putting the effort in too. As I don't have apnea but respiratory failure, I don't really have an option :-)

And it is trivial to adjust it for a small head. It has just one elastic strap, so if it is too loose you just take up a pinch or two with a safety pin. |
