F30i makes a whistling noise
My mask seal is terrible, but since my event scores are very low, I don't care too much. The thing that does bother me is the whistling sound that the F30i makes. It's coming from the right cheek about where the mask connects to the tubing. I don't think it's a leak in the connection, I think the mask doesn't fit my cheek properly in that spot. Tightening the mask does help, but does not completely stop the whistling. If I hold my finger on the spot where the mask joins the tubing, the whistling stops. I think my head is lop sided. :sHa_biggrin5:
I have some spare mouth pieces, so I will try replacing this first. But I find the straps on these masks don't last either, they stretch out over a period of time. The mask is over a year old, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised. I've also got a tube of mask seal somewhere.
I also experience the I can't breathe syndrome that some people mention with the F30i, as it feels like the nose holes don't line up with your nostrils. Although I think some of that is in my head, as I don't experience any major oxygen drops, unless I take the mask off.
Finally my Climatelineair oxy tubing does not fit the elbow securely anymore. I don't think it's bad enough to contribute to my leak issues, but I'm going to Teflon tape the elbow in any event.
I'd really like to go back to my P30i mask, but I seem to mouth breathe when I wear it, which is weird because it was my original mask. I also don't seem to mouth breathe with the F30i, but I guess the mask is keeping my mouth shut.

You might find that a mask liner would help. Lots of folks like the ones made by Supplier number 31.
Machine: ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto
Mask: Bleep DreamPort Sleep Solution

Thanks, I'll keep them in mind. I looked at liners when I was experimenting with the F20. I never did get a good fit with the F20 though and it really bothered the bridge of my nose.
I found my spare cushions for my F30i, which put an end to the whistling. I had to loosen my straps a bit, as the cushion was much fuller, especially around the nose. I still got a zero on mask seal though. Zero events though. I'm going to teflon tape that elbow joint today to see if that helps my leak score.
