Oximeter (eg O2Ring) - Fix Time Error - So Simple!

Oximeter (eg O2Ring) - Fix Time Error - So Simple!
TO HELP ANYONE ELSE...

This morning after I had imported my O2Ring Oximeter session data, I noticed it was (unusually, inexplicably) 8 hours behind.

The solution was simply to purge that session (date) from OSCAR, rename the file (to reflect the correct session start-time) and re-import it to OSCAR. Yes, just the file-name! (not the data in it).

Ignore the Time Offset options in [OSCAR > Preferences...] - they are not relevant, they only affect (AFAICT) CPAP data.

To remove/delete/purge the wrongly-timestamped session from OSCAR...
In my version of OSCAR (1.4.0 for macOS)...
Purge via: [Data > Advanced] - and select what you want to delete

Example filename change:
Was (wrongly): [20230331142850] => 14:28 (&50 sec) on 31 March 2023
Fixed it to: [20230331222850] => 22:25 (&50 sec) on 31 March 2023
That simple!

I learnt the above from my experience of following the tips in this thread:

RE: Oximeter (eg O2Ring) - Fix Time Error - So Simple!
How do you fix this if your not using the CPAP at the moment I'm 36 286 lb I've been using a CPAP for 4 years I just had a tonsillectomy and UPP with my uvula and soft pallet trimmed I'm using the wellu ring these past few days have been bad for sleep I've been like 6 days post-op I've got two days with decent sleep after I stopped taking the drugs, but I've been told not to use my CPAP until I'm healed I was taking oxycodone and d e x a m a t h o s
I don't know how you spell it some kind of anti-inflammatory I felt like the oxycodone was making me too tired low heart rate and stuff and the anti-inflammatory was making me restless with insomnia but what's crazy is is I didn't feel asleep deprived from not sleeping I just felt normal usually if I don't get at least 6 hours sleep I feel like crap

I've slept two nights decently I think without my CPAP but I still have drops on my '02 from my ring last night it recorded the wrong time I went to bed around midnight a little bit before and woke up a little bit after 10:00 a.m. I had a series of nightmares I kept waking up hearing myself breathe through my swollen throat but it recorded the wrong time it thought I went to bed at 3:00 p.m. and woke up at like 1:00 a.m. then I plugged it back in for 1 minute and it showed the correct time for a test run I'm not using my CPAP or Oscar right now I don't know how to fix that time on that recording

Has anyone ever been told not to use or CPAP while they're recovering from tonsillectomy

Hi jaguarman9991! - Welcome
The instructions listed above are for OSCAR only. There isn't any adjustment for the ViHealth app. The ViHealth app will sync the oximeter's time to the cellular device's each time you connect to it.

There is no indication as to when this was actually recorded. The possibility exists that you hadn't connected the oximeter to ViHealth prior to its first use. Since the oximeter is creating its database entry in real-time, it will use its current time/date for the data.
