Oxygen and ResMed Mini
Hi. I'm new here, new to CPAP, going on a little over a month now. My question: I want to go camping again and maybe if I can get this figured out, bikepacking. I bought a ResMed Mini to accomplish this BUT I am also on oxygen therapy. I live at altitude and without nighttime oxygen my ox drops significantly. I'm okay with using tanks in my camper. I'm in the backcountry mainly. However I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use oxygen with my mini. The salesman where I bought the unit seemed to think it was a snap. Got a universal mask adapter and a plug with an oxygen bleed. However, neither seem to work as described. I thought with the universal mask attachment I'd able to use my at home mask which already has an oxygen bleed but that doesn't work. Neither does the other adapter fit anywhere into the tubing on the mini. Has anybody found a way to do this. Would really like to sleep under the stars again. Help.

RE: Oxygen and ResMed Mini
You may be able to use an AirMini CPAP hose connector adapter that allows normal hoses to be connected to the AirMini. Plug the adapter into the AirMini, then your O2 concentrator on the adapter, then your hose.

RE: Oxygen and ResMed Mini
It's a little clunky, but likely manageable... I'm not aware of an oxygen connector that would fit the AirMini proprietary hose connector, so I would recommend the following:
- get an AirMini Pro Hose Connector by Snugell; that will allow you to connect a standard 22m device to the airmini hose - get an oxygen enrichment port for a cpap; it's a standard 22mm connector that will allow oxygen into the system - plug that into a standard CPAP mask; not the airmini-specific mask as you've converted from the AirMini hose now to standard connectors... That would allow you to use oxygen with your airmini. There are other connectors than Snugell, but i've found the Snugell connector is the best and doesn't leak as others do... Hope that helps.
RE: Oxygen and ResMed Mini
Thank you! I’ll give that a try. You would think that with as many people traveling and camping with the AirMini who also need oxygen therapy ResMed would address the issue.
Thank you.

RE: Oxygen and ResMed Mini
Actually I had all the parts and after reading your replay I think I put something together that works. Not the AirMini mask of course but the one of the ones I was sent home with from the hospital sleep test. No leaks detected. Thank you so much!
