Hi !
I'm using a nasal pillows mask (airfit p30I). MY ahi numbers are ok (I guess); between 0.5 and 2. There's no leak shown on the Resmed app. The thing is that sometime I wake up and I notice that I've been drooling over my pillow. So it means that my mouth open at night.
Does it compromise the treatment ?
Does it means that my AHI numbers are not accurate ?

I won't worry about 0.6 CAs. That can easily be explained by you moving in your bed. When you move, you stop breathing while asleep. Sometimes, it may take longer than 10 seconds to find your resting position after you start moving. That will be counted as a CA by the machine.
The mouth open doesn't automatically cause a leak. I can keep my mouth open and breathe normally nasally, while keeping my mouth open, while using the PAP machine. I still drool every once in a while, even after 10+ years in this thing.
Just put a small towel on your pillow if the drool bothers you too much.

Thanks for the answer. It could be moving (which is doubtfull since I dont really move at night), but from what I can see in the graphs it seems to be real CA events.

From doing some research, drooling most commonly occurs when the throat/facial etc. muscles relax during sleep. It is not too uncommon. Some things that can make drooling worse are allergies, GERD, side effects of certain medications, bruxism, and some neurological diseases.

RE: Pillows mask, drooling
It`s not the drooling that is the problem. I was drooling well before having cpap treatment. I just wonder if drooling (having open mouth) compromise the treatment. And those 0,63CA is also something that worries me.
