Profile won't load, OSCAR exits immediately
Running OSCAR 1.2.0 on Windows 10.0.19043 Pro Build 19043

I have several months of OSCAR data that have suddenly become inaccessible after my latest SD card import.

After importing my latest sessions, I clicked the lower left corner checkbox for a session that I wanted to exclude from Graph View. After I did this, OSCAR exited.
Trying to start OSCAR again results in an immediate exit. No error message or crash.

Reinstalling OSCAR and migrating data from the old folder (copied to another location) to Documents\Oscar_Data results in the same exit behavior.

All OSCAR compression options for data were turned on, if that helps in determining the problem.

Try holding the Shift key when you start OSCAR and see if that fixes the problem.  You will only need to preform this procedure once. Please report back here, either for good or bad.

Held down left shift as OSCAR started, no dice.
Loading Profile dialog gets to 100% and then OSCAR exits.
Out of curiosity, what does that do?

RE: Profile won't load, OSCAR exits immediately
Try purging the day (Data/Advanced/Purge Current Selected Day) and import your card again. Does that help?

If it doesn't, or you can't get that far, I think we will need to look at your data file. Can you zip your OSCAR_Data directory and upload it to my Dropbox folder. Please include your forum name in the zip file name so we know who uploaded the file.

Thanks.

I can't make it that far. I can't really upload the folder, as it's almost 320MB. I've put the most recent debug file in your Dropbox request, though, if that helps.

Edit: Wrote this before I attempted the Dropbox upload. I've attached the text file here.

New problem. I deleted the OSCAR_Data folder, uninstalled OSCAR and reinstalled it to start fresh. Now it'll get stuck on a white screen. Log shows:

RE: Profile won't load, OSCAR exits immediately
We've seen this happen when your OSCAR graphics engine setting has been changed from OpenGL to Software. See http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...#pid394231 and download the file, unzip, run the batch file, and change the graphics engine back to OpenGL.

This many problems would make me suspect a corrupted install file.   Try downloading a new copy of OSCAR to see if this might help. Also, turn off any antivirus software.

RE: Profile won't load, OSCAR exits immediately
Managed to solve the new problem using this helpful post from GuyScharf. Seems like a bunch of users have been experiencing this problem recently.

Here's the debug from a fresh install of OSCAR, with a backup of my OSCAR_Data folder restored in the default location. This is the problem I originally posted about. OSCAR exits immediately after getting to 100% when loading the profile.

Edit: Thanks for posting, GuyScharf, I had just seen your post in another thread describing similar symptoms. Crimson Nape, hash for my current install file downloaded 8/18/2021 is the same as the download I performed just now, so it doesn't seem to be that. Could you confirm the hash on your end? It might be helpful to post it underneath the download link on the homepage. I don't have any third-party antivirus software installed.

RE: Profile won't load, OSCAR exits immediately
If there's no way to solve this problem, is there any way I can salvage all of my SD card data that's been imported into OSCAR_Data so far, and re-import it into a new profile on a fresh installation of OSCAR? I don't want to lose my statistics and data.
