Reset Time then Copy Usage Data Back to Card

Reset Time then Copy Usage Data Back to Card
Hi everyone,

Resmed Air Sense 10, OSCAR software, Windows 10 PC.

First post here. My timezone was set 11 hours off (UTC+7) from the time zone I live in (UTC-4). After months of stressing about compliance data and going to bed late to make it work I just decided to backup my SD card on my computer and upload the data to OSCAR. I then reset all the data in the clinician menu with the SD card inserted and changed the time zone.

Now that the time zone is correct, is it possible to copy the old data back onto SD card without messing up the time zone setting? I'm not quite sure I understand the SD card file structure but I imagine leaving out the last session (happened in the future) and putting in all the old ones will restore my usage history and summaries on the device itself.

Can I just copy the backed up "DATALOG" folder into the SD card post time zone change?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Hi rocosp2000! - Welcome
Yes, you can copy your data back to the SD card. The data that has already been written has the time encoded. The only possible problem I can see is if you use the CPAP for a time span that already has data. You can not have data for the same time period. If you awoke at 8AM EDT today (just a guess), your CPAP would have recorded its last data at 19:00 hours (-4 +7 = 11 hours difference). So you should not use the CPAP before 19:00 (7:00PM) local time today.

I also would recommend that you maintain an archive directory on your PC so if and when the SD card goes bad, you have a backup.
