Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV
Hi everyone,
My husband has to replace is Aircurve 10 ASV as we got to the end of life notification on the machine. He used this device daily for the past 7 years with no issues. We ordered a new one and within about 7 days it was making a weird flapping noise. We returned it to the DME who sent it back to Resmed. They gave us another device. After about 10 days, it's doing it also.
Has anyone had issues with the Resmed new devices? I am just worried that if I call the DME again, they will think we are nuts LOL
RE: Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV
I assume he has been prescribed the Resmed Aircurve 11 ASV. I’m not familiar with the problem you have described, but if you can download
OSCAR software and place a SD card in his ASV we can probably see the issue in the graphs. Be sure not to overfill the humidifier and route the tube so it rises from the machine to drain any water back to the humidifier chamber. Keep in touch on this as it is not a problem I know of.
The old machine (Aircurve 10 ASV?) can still be used. You can also recondition that device by contacting Supplier#28 for a motor replacement and reset hours. That will stop the motor life exceeded warning and refurbish the device for under $230. A great value for something as expensive as the ASV and will provide a backup unit.

RE: Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV
its an AirCurve 10 ASV. I see they now offer it in the 11 series but that was not available a few months ago when we bought the new one.
We will try switching water chambers between the old and new one tonight. The noise is annoying and going to try a small fan in the bedroom for white noise to cover it.
If we can get used to the stupid noise, we will look at getting the motor replaced and the hour meter reset.
