Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset - Failure Mode?

Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset - Failure Mode?
My machine shut down last night after 2 hrs 20 minutes.  It was dead with no power.  I unplugged and plugged it back in a few times with no change.  (I don't know if the little green light on the power supply was on or off.)  I tried unplugging and plugging in again this morning with no change.  An hour of so later, I take a detailed look at the power supply and the green light is on.    I then measure 24 volts on the output side of the power supply.  I plug it back into the machine and it magically works.

Has anyone had a failure with one of these?  Is intermittent "dead machine" the failure mode?

If you don't know if the power supply light was on or off, it sounds like you have not yet ruled out a power supply failure. If that's the problem, you can replace the power supply for about $60 or so. Good luck!!

RE: Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset - Failure Mode?
On a few occasions I have had a problem with the plug to my ResMed10 CPAP not making good contact.  This occurred after I plugged it back in after I had removed the CPAP from the drawer I keep it.  All I did to get it working was to spin and push on the contact or just pull it out and plug it back in.  Although, I have never had it do it when it was running.  Hopefully this is the same problem with your machine.  A while back I had to send an almost new ResMed10 in with a stuck SD card in it.  It took ResMed 4 months to fix it...

RE: Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset - Failure Mode?
I use a ResMed 10 CPAP for travel and it wouldn't start Sunday night because the wall outlet at my hotel was too loose. I travel with a plug adaptor which often gives a better fit in a three prong outlet because it's two prong socket is not as loose, which solved the issue. A power bar is an idea as well.

ResMed took more than 4 months, in fact they took an infinite time to repair my S9 which I wanted as a backup. That's because although it was delivered to their warehouse, they lost it. After a bit of hemming and hawing, the distributor where I live agreed to give me a brand new one for free and didn't even ask for the $350 flat repair fee.

So now I have an S9 with about 60 hours on it, an S10 with 22,000 hours on it which I am not repairing the blower on until it quits, and an S11 I got on Kijiji with APAP for $450, with 19 used hours on it.
