Review my OSCAR data please
Can you help me understand the OSCAR data? Especially the leaks.

RE: Review my OSCAR data please
It appears that you are mouth breathing. You would do well to turn the ramp off. Large pressure swings can cause problems. I would set your pressure range 9 to 11 and set the EPR to 1. This will limit the pressure changes to a more tolerable range. See if that helps.
Also, you posted the same charts in another thread. We prefer that you keep all your therapy in one thread. This makes it easier for a reader to see your prior data and avoids hopping all over the forum. I have deleted your other thread since this is a duplicate. -- Red

@Crimson Nape, thank you for your answer. Apologies for double posting. Thank you for deleting the duplicate.
I will do following: - turn ramp off - change pressure 9-11 - EPR 1 You are absolutely right about mouth breathing. I am using chin strap and lip sealing tape. Yet, this morning I got up with the tap lose from my saliva (means mouth was open). BTW, how did you figure out that I am mouth breathing from these charts?

Can't get restful night of sleep please help
Hello all,
I have been on CPAP for 2 weeks now. According to suggestion on my previous thread, I changed pressure settings to 9-11, turned ramp off and set EPR to 1. I wear a chin strap and a lip seal to sleep. However, I still kept getting woken up throughout the night because either my throat feels constricted on my side OR an air bubble forms and escapes from the side of my mouth. I have ordered a full mouth sealing tape. But please look at my OSCAR data and tell me if there is something I am missing. Lack of good night sleep is driving me insane (although with CPAP, I am much much better. Whatever sleep I am getting with CPAP, the quality is better than without CPAP)

RE: Can't get restful night of sleep please help
One more addition: to avoid feeling throat constriction or GERD like symptoms, I put one large pillow horizontal and another on top of it with 50% overlap giving me a nice angled incline.

zynsa - As I requested before, please keep all your therapy questions in one thread. This one. If required, we can always rename the thread. I have merged your newest thread into this one.

RE: Review my OSCAR data please
OK, looking at your charts now. You are still experiencing excessive CAs. Try setting the pressure to 8 cm (both min and max) and no EPR (off). See if this stabilizes you.

RE: Review my OSCAR data please
@Crimson Nape, sounds good, I will try that.
Sorry, last time I misunderstood that one should not post the same data across two threads. Here onwards, I will restrict my data to this thread. One quick question though: what is the rationale to change both to 8 from 9-11 when median pressure is above 9?

RE: Review my OSCAR data please
1. You are not using EPR, so your EPAP pressure will be the same as a pressure of 9 and an EPR of 1.
2. You may be sensitive to pressure changes. This will allow your body to normalize on a constant pressure I'm not expecting any miracles. I'm trying to reduce your CAs and, hopefully, allow for a decent night's sleep. -- Red
