RE: Review my OSCAR data please
After two months of trying, last night I finally got AHI of 2.16. I am attaching the screenshot. I am feeling ecstatic that I am finally getting in the normal range. I started with 15.8 AHI during the sleep study and now around 2.16 AHI.
A BIG THANK YOU to this community for patiently answering my questions even when I was quite frustrated with the lack of progress. The total duration recorded is about 7 hours but I was reading for first couple of hours. So I deselected that from my screenshot. Thee 2.16 AHI is for the 5 hours I slept. For future reference and help: 1. I used a mouth sealing medical tape because without that I keep loosing air pressure from mouth and leak rate goes through the roof. 2. I used cervical soft collar to keep my chin from dropping and mouth opening (thanks for this tip @Sleeprider here: https://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread...-CPAP-data) 3. I also used a specialized pillow that helps you to sleep on the back by not letting your head move. Initially I tried to use it as intended but I like to sleep on side as well as stomach. So I pretty soon started to just use it the way I like (it isnt shaped like a normal pillow). Early on I got a lot of mouth leaks whenever I slept on side or stomach even with chin strap, mouth seal etc. However, after getting used to cervical collar, I can sleep all night comfortably on my stomach and side (the screenshot is for when I slept on my stomach). But getting used to the cervical collar is not easy. Even now I sometimes take it off with a drowning sensation. 4. I used 300 mcg of melatonin but nothing else. |
