I guess I have done that and it does get hot. However it seems not to get hot
During regular use. Is it sensing humidity and just not heating up in the automatic process
Thanks

Harry,
You didn't answer Paula's question. Do you have a ClimateLine hose attached to your humidifier?
IF you do have a ClimateLine hose and your humidifier is set to Auto then yes, it is automatically controlling the humidity level at 80% relative humidity to the mask.
If you're having congestion either from the higher flow of CPAP air and/or catching a cold, you should try switching from Auto to Manual on the humidifier and then turn-up the humidifier, this helps more people to relieve congestion, most doctor's recommend using a room humidifier if you're congested as well (when you're not using CPAP), like Paula said, the extra moisture helps the mucus to flow down into your throat and on into the stomach like it's supposed to do.

EDIT: I just noticed, this was a 2 month old thread that got bumped-up, Harry is probably over his cold by now!
