I would be grateful if someone who understands the sleep study report can help me understand the results.

SPO2 BLOOD OXYGEN LEVELS
I was advised by someone on here that the results of my sleep study show that my spo2 levels were too low and that I may benefit from oxygen along with cpap.

RE: SPO2 BLOOD OXYGEN LEVELS
Until your Apnea and hypopnea are corrected I don' think you will be able to tell if oxygen is needed. Mine went down to 82% during my sleep study, is 93% to 95% while being treated with CPAP.

RE: SPO2 BLOOD OXYGEN LEVELS
Hi dizzy1,
The sleep study is from 2014. A lot can change with your oxygen level in 3 years. If you are concerned about oxygen levels you might consider buying an oximeter off Amazon or ebay. The Contec cms50f or cms50i are often recommended. They are fairly cheap and can record your oxygen level for the entire night.

RE: SPO2 BLOOD OXYGEN LEVELS
Not that different an O2 desaturation to me, you spent half hour under 85% and didn't spend much time really low. I doubt you will need oxygen. You have a cpap now and that should have fixed it. Did they sleep test, titrate you?
I got a cms50f off ebay from china for $50. it was worth it to me. get the usb and software, I saw that someone with V3.9 is having trouble with sleepyhead, so get the V3.5 or V3.7 OS

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure. https://aasm.org/resources/practiceparam...rating.pdf |
