Yes, I was under the impression they came out with new models every couple of years or less (maybe that was way back when) but browsing here I see people have had AirSense 10s for a long time.

[Correction: I mistyped on the prices. Oximetry module runs around $299 (found it for $250) and the DC converters run around $85]

And thanks for reading my Oscar and the suggestion.

Your doctor's suggestion is consistent with the 5-6 year time-frame for model releases, but this is honestly the first i have heard of it from someone that might know or have seen literature. It's really opaque, and if you compare it to pharmaceutical companies, it's amazing how little public information is available on the developments of products and release dates. Even stockholders don't get reports, and then one day we hear a new model has been released.
