Short periods of a lot of CA

Short periods of a lot of CA
Hey there,

I'm about to be 2 month in since I started with CPAP treatment. Since starting I barely experience OA but I still get CA. Anyway, I've been keeping a watch on my Oscar DATA to see if there's improvement and I noticed that I often get short periods of time, about an hour or two, where I experiences a lot of CA, I will attach two images with approx. 40 AHI and 20 AHI. What could it be?

Difficult to tell from two charts, but are you by chance a back sleeper?

Have you tried higher pressures?

Also, please post the entire night not just zoomed in sections. Seeing both puts things into perspective.

You might want to compare what events showed in the sleep study as well as what's in OSCAR. This can help with therapy decisions.

I'm a side sleeper. Yes, I have, the doctors have lowered the pressure to help with CA but it hasn't helped.

Mixed apnea. Total 28 AHI (8 AHI CA).

I'd probably trial near static pressure. First, remove EPR 3, but note this is barely working now with Min pressure 5. Second, pressure range to 6-8.

Then leaks from the mask need looked at. The level isn't terrible, but they're also appearing to show minimal leak control. With a Max pressure 8, and there's the leaks, your mask is barely sealed. Leak chart tells us with the spikey leak pattern, it's mask based. Do not go tighter if it's uncomfortably tight now, because normally that makes leaks worse. It may be cushion size is the issue, or the make and model mask isn't right for you.

Clusters of CA, you can only change settings as above to avoid some of these. It's likely to be treatment emergent Central Apnea, although there were some on your test results mentioned.
