Somnera system
I'm in the market for a new CPAP and just noticed the somnera system. I'm naturally interested since not much new items come out in regards to new CPAP machines. The lack of a humidifier in interesting. I also wonder if it will work with OSCAR. Do you all have any opinions ? I currently have a dreamstation and was originally planning on switch to the airsense before eeing the somnera system

RE: Somnera system
The machine is barely out of its diapers. OSCAR does not support it because nobody here has one. It appears to use network server based data analysis, so it may not be possible to use any open source software.
If you get one of these, you will be a pioneer. >>>Somnera completed two randomized, controlled studies confirming the system’s safety and efficacy in treating OSA. The studies have not yet been submitted to a peer-reviewed journal, but the company intends to do so. <<< There isn't enough description from my Google search to explain how the 'valve' works or what it does. I wouldn't risk my health with a device I didn't understand. Not sure what else I can say... Admin Note:

Based off the price I saw for one, you can buy 3 to 4 Resmed AS10 Autosets. They do like their product a lot.

RE: Somnera system
Check and compare the prices on the Supplier List above. Right now, the prices for AirSense 10 AutoSets are pretty decent.
You can purchase this unit for around $598.00 at Supplier #1. Also Supplier #26 and Supplier #33 are running similar sales. Some even offer bundled packages with masks for not that much more. If you want cheaper, look at Supplier #2. They not only sell new, but low hour used or open boxed units. Also, check places like Marketplace or Craig's list, but be cautious as to hours used and if the unit comes from a smoke free home.

RE: Somnera system
Are there any new updates or users of the Somnera System? I don't find any other posts in a search.

Hi Hotrodalley! -
(Well, for your 1st post since joining!) You are the first to bring this topic up in almost a year. I had to go and research what this system is. Needless to say, it is not a popular device around here. Sorry!
