Hi I'm new to cpap and to this board. so not sure what thread to post this in or if I should start a new thread.
Airsense 11, pressure is set at 4-20, events per hour are 1-3 on My Air depending on the night.
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in February and started therapy end of March. My sleep study showed zero central apneas. Only some OSA's and lots of hypopnea events. My AHI was 28.4. Luckily I took well to the Airsense 11 and sleep the whole night with it. Took me about a month to get the leakage where I wanted it (almost zero).
I just downloaded Oscar which is a ton better then My Air. Oscar shows I keep having these Clear Airway events. Last night says 2.69, but I have no idea what that means. I've attached a screenshot of part of my daily oscar report. I don't know how to screenshot the whole daily yet. Please note my oximeter is off by a couple of points. I reset it today so I'm hoping My O2 improves some more.
Does Clear Airway mean central sleep apnea events? What does 2.69 mean? And why am I suddenly having these events when zero showed up in my sleep study?

Crickets, your settings are wide-open and set to EPR 3. I'd like to set the minimum pressure to 6.0, maximum pressure 10.0, EPR 1. Please include the data in the left side-bar in future graphs.

My pressure is supposed to be changed to 5-15 sometime this week. But I don't actually see my doctor until next week.
What is EPR? Is 1 higher or lower then 3?
Also why am I getting CA's when I had none on my sleep study?
I was on oxygen at night until about 6 days ago because I was starting to get some oxygen toxicity. My o2 numbers are staying in low 90s most the night, and I'm just trying to do everything I can to stay off the oxygen if possible
I've read some but am drowning in information lol. Lots to learn.
Cricket, the EPR is the exhale pressure relief and it makes your CPAP like a bilevel. It means your exhale pressure is lower than inhale pressure by 1, 2 or 3 cm-H2O pressure. In bilevel terms, EPR 1 is like PS (pressure support), but with EPR the pressure is subtracted from inhale pressure. So when your pressure is 6.0, and EPR is 2, the exhale pressure is 4.0.
My suggestion was a minimum pressure of 6.0, maximum pressure 10.0 and EPR full-time at 1. This means your pressure would start at 6/5 (inhale/exhale) to 10/9. This is based on the fact your apnea in the chart above was nearly all CA events. This can often be completely fixed by using a lower EPR setting. So, your maximum pressure was 10.12/7.12 and under the revised settings with EPR at 1, the pressure would be 10.0/9.0. Anyway, the idea is to get your minimum pressure high enough that EPR is constant, and observe the results. It is very likely I would ask you to change EPR to 2 after this first trial. I suggested this range because it does not significantly change your prescribed settings, but it does reduce the "comfort setting" EPR which you should certainly try. You may need to access the clinical settings to change the EPR setting and pressure settings. This shows you how to access the settings, and for more information, Apnea Board can help you get the clinical manual. https://mail.apneaboard.com/resmed-airse...setup-info

That is starting to make some sense. I've been sick since August and just stopped the overnight oxygen 7 days ago. So I'm a little leary of making changes on my own, just yet. But also realized this last year how important it is that I educate myself and advocate for my own health needs. Another reason I'm so thankful I found this forum. I'm going to print this out for my doctor on Monday. And also find those settings so that I will know how to use them for myself when I'm ready.

I use an Airsense 11. Just started Cpap in March with the regular F20 mask. Changed to F20 foam mask in April. My leakage has always been 0 or .01 every single day. About 2 weeks ago I started having all sorts of leakage and it seems to be getting worse. (2.1/3.2/4.7) I have not changed anything. I tried replacing the mask.
What would cause a sudden jump in leakage like that?
