Supplier and Insurance issues
Here's the rant
I used a online company who sells equipment as well as Home Sleep Study. They're not on the list so I cant even list who they are.
They were more than happy to sell me $2k worth of equipment but don't deal with insurance companies at all. I get I may have to pay out of pocket to them and get reimburse from my insurance Co. My Insurance company requires the Dr office to contact them and provide the information for "prior Authorization" before they will allow durable equipment to count equipment purchased towards my deductible. I even sent them a medical release form that they asked for. They refuse to contact the insurance CO at all and my Insurance Co wont take copies of diagnosis from me.
Has anyone else ran into this issue dealing with online equipment suppliers? It seems they would do this on the daily if they wanted to sell equipment.
