RE: Daily Decline in Cognitive Function
I do not believe that you should be concerned about your oxygen saturation, which is not too good news for you because it is relatively simple to correct. Nevertheless, it was worth cancelling it out. Now, you should look for other culprits.

RE: Daily Decline in Cognitive Function
Hey all, thanks for the advice! Trigger is currently set to high. If oxygen is not a concern, I will wait for my doctors interp of my latest sleep study. Take care!

4% ODI of 10.5 per hour which is very consistent with your AHI of 10.49 per hour. 3% ODI of 19.5 per hour! Those are a lot of likely arousals while you're sleeping and almost all do to CAs. Doesn't appear your therapy settings are working to address central apnea or might be inducing it. No wonder you have brain fog.

Do you know the breakdown of events in your original sleep-test report? (Obstructive apnea, central apnea, hypopnea.) And do you know why you were prescribed a VAuto?

RE: Daily Decline in Cognitive Function
My original report showed only 4 OA's and 123 H's. They made no mention of CA's. I believe I was pretty intolerant to CPAP during titration, which prompted the decision to go straight to BiPAP. I'm beginning to suspect my central apnea events are treatment induced. This would explain my worsening symptoms upon starting...
Oh, and VAUTO came later after 3 nights of elevated AHI. Originally I was set at 20/11, but now it is auto at 20/10 with a PS of 5. I typically average IPAP of 15. |
