I see my specialist every month with the reports from the CPAP machine and follow up after with a visit to my Doctor, who also has sleep apnoea, but it has been 15 months with the CPAP and almost 2 years since I reported the problems to my Doctor which led to all the tests I have had. Both Doctors are not frightened to order tests as they know Dept of Veteran Affairs are covering the costs so I have had every test imaginable.

Brian, I am trying to understand what you are saying.

You said in this post and others that you have been using the CPAP for 15 months. But here you say it has been almost 2 yrs since you reported the problems to your doctor.

Did you have the headaches before CPAP and they got worse? Or did the headaches totally not happen until you started CPAP?

If the headaches only started once you began using CPAP, why has it not occurred to you or your doctors to stop the use of the CPAP to see if the headaches went away? That would seem to be the first logical, least expensive, easiest test.

If the headaches started before you began using CPAP and then got worse once you started using it, again, why has it not occurred to you or your doctors to stop using the CPAP to see if they improved?

You did say this is your 3rd CPAP so I would assume the purpose is to try different somethings to perhaps narrow it down. Which must not have worked since the headaches persist.

Take a deep breath and count to zen.
