Too much leaks?

Too much leaks?
Most of my nights present such large leaks. I do not think it's normal. I use a fullface mask.
Sorry for the pictures in french but I suppose charts are the same in french and english.

Thanks for advices.

RE: Too much leaks?
hqc001,
Welcome to Apnea Board!

Your leak rate is way too high, and you really can't  trust the numbers.  A high leak rate makes it harder for the machine to do it's job.

Which full face mask are you using?  Are you able to try different sizes or even a different mask?

Do you feel air leaking anywhere from the mask?  Try adjusting the headgear, not necessarily too tight though as that can make matters worse.

Read this article and see if you get any any tips on adjustments and fit.

RE: Too much leaks?
Thanks for a quick reaction.
I use a Quattro FX fullface mask. When I started with the resmed CPAP a month ago I used a F&P Simplus with worse results.
I have a large model and don't feel any air leak from the mask.
Could it be possible for the CPAP to be defective; when I received it it had already been used by somebody else for about 1,500 hours.

Try using the "mask fit" feature on your cpap.

Also check your hose.  Feel along where it connects to the machine and up to your mask to see if there is possibly a small crack somewhere in the hose.

I'll try both your suggestions tonight (in about 7 hours) and let you know.

Thanks

RE: Too much leaks?
Hi,
I tried, but to no avail !!! The mask fit test is OK !!!
I even changed mask to return to a Simplus. That didn't change anything, I'll try again tonight with the simplus, but I feel more and more desperate.
