Travel Tips for me?
#11
RE: Travel Tips for me?
May I add my 2 cents worth? My Resmed aircurve 10 has a two-part cord. I have been known to... 1) leave one section of the cord at home ! (a long story, but I was packing it up for the first time very early in the morning , for a very long flight....)
2) always pack it into its case! not just into a clean dishpan or box, ( since I'm just walking across our front yard to put it into our travel trailer, parked just in front of our house.) ....well, we discovered , late that night, after pulling into our campground, about five hours from home, that...cord was missing. Entire cord this time. ( I spent that night sleeping in a recliner, and woke up with a bad headache. )
3) Try to pack/take with you the extra items that may need to be replaced while you are away from home---like a spare cushion, even if it isn't an ideal cushion.
4) Ask your doctor's office for a new script for miscellaneous supplies which could need to be replaced while you are away. The script may need to be recent. (how recent?) It becomes very confusing. These may be state laws--which may vary.

It is a mystery to me, that CPAP cushions need prescriptions! (Am I supposed to be cured?? and not need this CPAP machine? Sometimes this is related to insurance coverage... but script seems to be needed when I am paying for items out of pocket, too...at least sometimes.

Thank you for your suggestions related to travel. Thank you for letting me share.

One more thing---now and then, we have stayed at a motel with strange electrical electrical system...the plug next to bed was controlled by the wall switch across the room, and unable to turn on light to read in bed while getting started with CPAP at bedtime, ...well, it was annoying. I think I will add an extension cord to our packing list.
