RE: Acceptable AHI with worrying minute ventilation / tidal volume
Hi McRiver,
I should be careful with wild ideas, given my minimal immersion, also you being a young female, I being an old male.
So instead here are a few questions, to be taken "with a grain of salt":
- given the apparently great curves dated Dec.9, I'd want to understand your main complaint: daytime sleepiness, maybe not due to Sleep Apnea?
- can you correlate your Subjective Feelings to anything in the sleep data? total deep sleep duration form the Flow Rate curve? your detail extracts don't correspond to any disturbed period, how about zooming in around the CAs or near the low Minute Ventiln times.
- your Dec 12 data are quite different. How about zooming in around 5:32, 5:36, 6:22, 6:24 am
- your doctor must rely on some of your subjective or machine data. What are they?
I see too many forum comments of the type "my data look great, the doctor says great, so why am I feeling terrible?"
I myself am in that category, just 3 months into PAP, having switched from Airsense 11 Autoset to AirCurve 11 ASV Auto. And trying to correlate local disturbances and instabilities in my data, and comparing extremes in good days vs bad days. I suspect that my detailed views in the Flow Rate and Tidal Volume may explain my frequent arousals, sometimes with not yet well defined symptoms of breathing trouble and other symptoms which may last from an hour to all day, but just on some days. Which to me means that on an individual session I may be above or below an instability or the Hypopnea or UARS type.
Still looking persistently for the "smoking gun", based on which to try a fix. Never mind those "Smiley Happy-face" product sale promotions, or "Miracle" Inspire ads.
