[Treatment] Aerophagia + Long Sleep Times

Aerophagia + Long Sleep Times
Hi everyone,

I have had my CPAP for 470 days now and just today learned about OSCAR and all the analysis it gives.

My treatment is going largely ok in that I am no longer tired throughout the day however I do feel as though I am sleeping longer than other people I know (9+ hours the past week 8:30 average 30 days).

Also in the past week I think I have started getting Aerophagia as I am constantly needing to burp when using the machine (and fart when I wake up!). I am not getting any pain but this is entirely new.

I haven't made any changes to my machine, setup, sleep, diet, etc etc. so why this has started happening is somewhat unknown to me.

(Just to note I used a AirMini for most of last year because I was travelling for work hence the low compliance!)

I suppose the point of this post is to see if anyone has any advice

Thanks!

RE: Aerophagia + Long Sleep Times
There are reports, according to YouTuber LankyLefty, that Vcom works well for reducing aerophagia in those using 10+ cm CPAP. Its original intent was to reduce the flow inrush caused by the machine boosting output in response to the natural pressure drop of airflow through the mask and tubing, which was unnatural and uncomfortable to new users. Jason reports that the device also suppresses the peak inspiration air velocity and can help reduce mouth leaks (on nasal masks) and aerophagia as a result. It's not expensive, might be worth looking into?
Look, I'm an engineer, not a doctor! Please don't take my opinion as a substitute for medical advice.
