[Treatment] Chaos58503 Therapy Thread Fighting Positional OA

Note the Clusters of Obstructive events.  Clusters are a tell of what is most likely a form of positional apnea.  Try one pillow vs two or latter, less firm pillows.  Why? The most likely cause is you are tucking your chin into your chest. Try it, I'd bet you find it more difficult to breathe that way.  The goal is to remove that kink in that hose we call an airway.  You may need to use a soft cervical collar, see the link in my signature.  This typically is not fixed with pressure and most likely is why your pressure rises to the max that you have set.  Flow Limits, yours are all high, will increase pressure as well OA and H events.  Positional apnea will cause flow limits.

There is no official medical parameter but we have observed the FL 95.5% stat of 0.10 or higher should be addressed, Preferably down to 0.02-0.03 or lower if possible.  EPR=3 is what will help this AFTER you manage the Positional Apnea.

Thanks again for your response! The breaks were actually my damn dogs getting up and me letting them out so my wife could rest. I tried a thinner pillow last night with better results (attached). Let me know if there is anything else that can be done. For now I will continue with the thinner pillow to see if it helps how I feel. thanks

You need to take care of the positional apneas first, just raising the pressure will not do any thing to fix them.  Think of a garden hose being bent over and the water supply being cut off, that is what is happening to your air supply.

How does this look? I've been trying different pillows and whatnot. Next plan is a soft cervical collar. Doc bumped up my Min. to 9 since I've been having problems with high pressure he left the max at 15. Still not feeling like I'm getting good sleep.

Best night so far!

So far last night was the best I've seen since getting my machine! I've tried multiple pillows to try and fix my cluster apnea from "kinking the hose so to speak". I have a soft cervical collar on order as well as a hose sleeve to hoping fix rain out I've been excperiencing as of late. I've played around with the humidity and hose temp with no luck. It's either to hot of air with little humidity causing dry mouth or rain out! Any recommendations will be appreciated greatly!

Your latest chart looks the best. All charts have shown some clusters of obstructive apnea and flow limits that suggest positional issues are present. With 9.0 to 15.0 and EPR 3, your median pressure is regularly 11.0 or more. It would not hurt to increase minimum pressure to 10.0. Keep working on the positional apnea because you are making progress.

Here's my latest nights rest. I switched up my pillow again and slept very good last night which was needed badly! Hoping this can continue on. I did order a V Com to see if it will help the chipmunk effect at high pressure as that has been waking me up along with sill break at high pressure.
