CA problems - good or bad therapy?

Yeah, I did basically all the routine investigations and everything was okay... I'm also scheduled in the next few weeks for a brain MRI and for some more detailed heart investigations. If they come out ok too, I'll resign myself to the idea (but at the same time the joy) of having "only" idiopathic CA.

On another note, is there any chance that this idiopathic CA will heal itself over time? Are there such cases?

I can only answer from my own experience, unfortunately no I don't think so. ASV is truly the best answer to CA. Having said this though, mine aren't as bad regarding symptoms as they were, and I'm currently untreated due to the complex mix of Central Apnea and COPD/Asthma diagnosis. The ASV would still be viable except ResMed chose to make all the time controls full Auto. But for me there's still the necessity to treat.

I understand... I'm very sorry for your situation... about 12 years ago I was also diagnosed with asthma and took specific treatment for several years. Gradually the symptoms (bronchospasm) disappeared completely and I stopped treatment. Now that I know your story, I'm thinking that there might be some connection between my apnea and my "old" asthma...

I'm wondering if there's a bit of pulmonary resistance of some sort you're getting in some way that may be making you more sensitive to the imbalance that enhanced your CA.

Who knows... Anything is possible. It makes sense what you say... But I'll probably never find out... one thing's for sure, my goal right now is to get an ASV.

Best to you in that quest. When you do get ASV, it's really simple to setup. Just let us know when you do get it.

Similar OSCAR charts to guide. Looks like you have ResMed 10 now, so same mask probably will be ok, same hose, humidifier tubs, filters too.

Meantime, I managed to get an O2Ring Viatom, curious to find out what happens to my saturation. I guess things aren't that bad in that area...

Not at all terrible, unless we pay attention to the CA.

Your oxygen level is getting close to being an issue in my opinion, your low of 90% being the target for concern.

Try this, as I'm assuming you can, within OSCAR on your SpO2 chart, add a redline at 89%, this indicates when it drops to concern bad areas.

I don't know how to add such a redline, but I was able, from the SpO2 right-click graph settings, to draw a line at the minimum recorded value. Also in the oximetry preferences I saw that it is set to flag SpO2 desaturation below 90%.
What represents Pulse Change events? I notice a very high number.. is this a normal value?

I've been without therapy for too long to remember what mine would show in the reports. Varying heart rate isn't likely a big deal. Sleep stages, movement, etc. all factor in.
