Help with adjusting settings after good modifcations
Hi all,
Firstly, I'm so happy I found Apnea Board, this community is amazing! After posting for the first time, I made the recommended adjustments (increasing
pressure settings and wearing a soft cervical collar) to my CPAP therapy and since have lowered my AHI to 2-3 nightly. Incredible! CPAP therapy is actually working now.
I was curious to see if there are further suggestions for how to improve my treatment. How are my flow limits? Should I increase my pressure again? EPR is set to 1.
Screenshots below. I was also curious about the length of my CAs (which I'm assuming are stemming from emergent CSA). 31 seconds seems like a lot. Appreciate the help in advance!
RE: Help with adjusting settings after good modifcations
Treatment emergent CA's are common. EPR is basically used to cut down hypopneas (H's) and flow limitations, etc. But, sometimes by increasing EPR, it can increase CA's. It is balancing act.
Your 95 percentile flow limitations is 0.07 You can try EPR 2 and eventually 3 and see how that affects you therapy.
You are correct. A 30 second CA is not good. Most people adapt to pap therapy in a few weeks to months for so, so hopefully your CA's reduce; as well as the length of your CA's.
