RE: TheBinarySon's Treatment Thread
Things continue to move in the right direction and as you put more good nights together than bad ones, your overall well-being should follow. Not much I can offer to improve on zero events and reasonable comfort.
RE: TheBinarySon's Treatment Thread
Thanks, sir. I really appreciate your and everyone else's help over the last couple weeks. I don't know if people keep posting in their respective treatment threads after they have their settings dialed in or not, but I can reduce my daily posting to let other people's threads get some eyes and either post a few days at a time or only when something goes awry. Either way, here's to hoping someday someone will come forward to volunteer to code these machines for Oscar!
RE: TheBinarySon's Treatment Thread
I'm sure your thread helps others that have the Luna see what can be done. I learned a few things about the pressure relief. You're welcome to continue the thread, however, I tend to read the threads and not leave a comment unless I see something.
RE: TheBinarySon's Treatment Thread
Understood - will do!
RE: TheBinarySon's Treatment Thread
I've had trouble sleeping the last couple nights - mostly my own fault with caffeine and what not. But anyway, now that I'm back on CPAP, I'm curious about if I should keep the Reslex setting on or not. I've been reading posts about EPR and I see that there are plenty of reasons for and against its use, mostly coming down to the individual. So for anyone that's been following my thread, should I keep Reslex on, and at 2, or change it or even turn it off? I'm guessing without OSCAR it's more of a situation of don't fix what ain't broken, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
Also, I turned on Smart C, which looks at the last 5 days of data and will up the pressure a bit past the settings if the AHI goes too high. Shouldn't affect me, but again I figured I'd turn it on in case I get into trouble at some point.
I fear at this point my biggest problem may be fighting the urge to fidget with the settings unnecessarily and stick with what works.
RE: TheBinarySon's Treatment Thread
After not sleeping pretty much at all for 2 nights due to some bad reactions to some medication, last night I slept really well. So much so that I have no recollection of apparently turning the machine off for almost an hour last night, so I have no idea what that is. Maybe I fell asleep on the toilet? No idea. Anyway, was groggy as hell since I woke up until about now after drinking two monster energy drinks an hour ago. I'm attributing the grogginess more to the fact that my body needs to make up for a few days of no sleep then my sleep last night not being of good quality.
Anyway, here's the chart. Turned ramp and reslex off. Turned ramp off to see if I still needed it which I don't think I do, and turned Reslex off because I noticed at one point in the last couple nights that my breathing was not in sync with the inhale exhale pattern of the mask/machine, or at least it didn't feel like it. Will turn it back on if folks really think it will benefit me.
RE: TheBinarySon's Treatment Thread
Got to bed on time last night but 4 hours in I woke up screaming into my pillow again from an intense dream in which I was arguing with someone. I know dreaming becomes better and more intense, but if all they're going to do is make me angry, I'm afraid of what this means for me.
Anyway, I couldn't fall asleep so easily so I went downstairs and finished sleeping on the couch without CPAP. Maybe I should have tried to take the machine down with me, I don't know.
Good news is tonight I get my mask liner from Supplier 31 delivered, which I'm excited about because it will help with some red marks the mask is starting to give me on my mouth, and might help absorb some of the moisture that collects around my mouth from either the humidifier or my drooling.
RE: TheBinarySon's Treatment Thread
Haven't posted in a few days due to work and rough sleep so I was sleeping in. I think the rough sleep was mostly due to intense dreams and/or eating to close to bed time and it being so hot in the house (I live at the top of a townhouse). Anyway, slept pretty much all through the night last night and feel pretty good today. I will say that I love my mask liner from Supplier 31, which has seemingly taken care of both my drooling problem and the redness that was showing on my chin from the mask.
Charts are below, with a zoomed in picture to see if it shows anything. Most of the high amplitudes in my flow chart seem to be paired with temporary increases in leak, which usually happens when I move. I'm guessing I'm tossing and turning as I tend to be an active sleeper I think but just in case I provided an example of such an event.
RE: TheBinarySon's Treatment Thread
Went to bed on time - 11am. Woke up at the same times again - 3am and 5:30. Was able to go back to bed at 3 but when I woke up at 5:30, I actually felt pretty good, so I went to the bathroom and have stayed up. Not sure if I should go back to bed or not and risk sleeping for a little bit to just wake up drowsy.
Anyone know why I would be waking up early at around the same times each day for seemingly no reason?
RE: TheBinarySon's Treatment Thread
Good Morning! I just woke up about 20 mins ago. I feel ok? I guess? I don't know how I'm supposed to feel after a good night's sleep. I guess I'm not groggy.
Below is my chart for the night As you can see I had a couple of events last night. I zoomed in for those and will post screenshots of them in the next post. Any insight would be appreciated.
