Users of F20 AirTOUCH cushion how long does yours last?

RE: Users of F20 AirTOUCH cushion how long does yours last?
Mine seams to be lasting between 30 - 40 days depending on how much a drool and how wet it gets. I wipe the mask down daily but it still makes the foam get out of shape. I am new at this so will have to see if we can make them last longer.

Good to know. I wonder if the length of time corresponds to the tightness of the straps. Mine are lasting about 70 days before the foam gets fairly soft (but still working), but my pressures are low and straps are not very tight. Just thoughts....

This is interesting. I just started using the f20 foam mask 2 weeks ago and my health facility here in canada told me the insurance company will only replace this mask every 90 days. I wonder if that's even true now if everyone's not getting that here.

Ooooo that is tough since the company itself states that it is designed to only last 30 days.

Hi, Apneastricken  It *might* pay to get specific with them about how often the cushion can be replaced versus the headgear.

For example, my p30i breaks down into three components that are replaced on different schedules:  the strap behind my head is replaced every six months, and the silicone arms that go around my face every three months.  Also, every three months I get enough of the pillows that interface with my nostrils to be able change them every two weeks.

I've also found that some people at my DME are new at the job and confused about the parts (not surprising, given how different the masks are), so I keep asking until what they are sending me matches the Medicare schedule.

Looking at my packaging, the mask is the hard shell that attaches to the headgear and is replaced every 6 months under my insurer. The cushions snap into the mask and are replaced every 30 days. Mine come in a blue plastic hard-shell case.

I got about 5 weeks out of my 1st one. It was starting to leak too much around the bridge of my nose and blowing up into my eyes.

I get about 90 day’s worth. Every other day, I use a baby wipe to clean the foam cushion.

I just got my machine and F20 mask last tuesday.  6 days and the front part started leaking, where the 2 hard plastic pieces come apart.  All I did was clean it, and it started leaking and wouldn't stop no matter what.  Swapped out less than a week.  No problems so far with the cushion.
