Using cpap but waking up dead tired
I'm at wit's end-- after more than 4 years using ResMed Airsense 10 machine, I still wake up as tired as I went to bed. My doctor is absolutely no help.

Hi Eatapeach!  -  Welcome

In order to help you, there are some things we need to know before we can get going on some help.  First, there are several models of the AirSense 10.  Which one do you have, CPAP, Elite, Autoset, or Autoset for Her?  If you are uncertain, I have included an image as to where to find this information.

If your answer is anything, but "CPAP", then we are off to a good start.
For all models except, the "CPAP", you will need to do the following:
  • Have an SD card reader.  Some are built-in or get a USB card reader.
  • Get an SD card 2 to 32 GB in size.
  • Download a free copy of OSCAR. The download link is in the name, or can be found at the top of every page here.
  •  Insert the SD card in your AS10 and use it overnight.  The card HAS to be in the CPAP while you sleep to record the detailed sleep data.
  •  The next day, insert the card in your reader attached to your PC.
  • Open OSCAR, create a user profile.
  • Import the SD card's data. You only need to click on the SD card's drive designator (like a drive letter).
  • After you have imported the card's data, go to the Daily screen.
  •  Press the F12 key for Linux or Windows, or Fn+F12 key combo on a Mac to take a screenshot.  Please only use this method to take a screenshot, as it minimizes the calendar and closes the right menu to take the shot.
  • Come back here to this thread and select the Reply button to enter the full editor.
  •  At the bottom of the editor is where you insert the screenshot image.
New Attachment > Browse, find your image then select Add Attachment, followed by select Insert into post.
  • Remember to remove the SD card and put it back in the CPAP.

Good luck!

Uh-oh. The answer to your first question is Autoset, but to the other info I may have to call in an expert, one of my grandchildren. Thank you sincerely for the help, and I will see what I can do.

Good job!  Try to slightly reduce the graphs heights, so we can see about 1 or 2 more graphs.    If you can provide your monitor's resolution, I can try to calculate a value for you to enter in the File > Preferences > Appearance > Graph Height parameter.

Based on your screenshot, your leaks are so bad that it isn't a wonder that you are having problems.  Keep in mind that masks are designed around a certain model's facial structure.  If you fall outside this envelope, problems like leaks will occur.  There is no one mask that will fit everyone. You need to read this Wiki on proper mask fitting: https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph...ask_Primer.  If you are still experiencing leaks, consider looking for a different mask style, brand, or both.

OK, your monitor's vertical resolution (720) is smaller than OSCAR's minimum setting.  This means if you go into your Preferences settings, it will hide your "OK" and "Cancel" buttons.  I will provide a way of "OK-ing" the setting change in the steps below.
  1. Go to File > Preferences > Appearance
  2. Under Graph Settings > Graph Height, enter: 120 and press <ENTER>
  3. Now, go down to the "Big Text" settings and click on the 35 in the Size box.  Don't change it!
  4. From this location, press your <Tab> key exactly 4 times, then press <ENTER>
The above should place the focus on the "OK" button and allow you to save the graph height change.

Good luck!

The image looks good. Well-done

On the other hand, your leaks are terrible! If the leaks are being flagged, then either your CPAP's data is not able to report a true representation of your sleep, or your CPAP is unable to supply the proper pressure, or both. You really need to eliminate the leaks before anything else. Here is a Wiki article named. Mask Primer.
https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph...ask_Primer

Remember, a particular mask will not fit everybody. You may need to start the search. This is one of those "pains" about getting CPAP therapy optimized.
