White noise / mask noise causing poor sleep? P30i
I recently tried the ResMed P30i mask for two nights (the one with the "Teletubbies" attachment at the top of the head, and air travels through the mask frame past the ears). It's louder than my usual mask (Evora full face) but I was able to sleep fine.
I felt absolutely awful for those two days, unexpectedly so.
Earlier this year I slept with a loud fan for two nights also and had a similar experience - slept through the nights fine but felt awful during the days. So I'm wondering if the P30i is sufficiently loud enough to disturb my sleep, even though as far as I'm aware I sleep through the whole night.
Has anyone had a similar experience? I googled it but could only find info about how helpful white noise is for sleeping.
Last night I switched back to my usual setup and feel much better this morning.
Thanks for reading!
RE: White noise / mask noise causing poor sleep? P30i
I recently read where a member with a similar mask put a sock or some material around the tube part (that goes by the ears) that goes from the top of the silicone tube down to the bottom where it attaches to the nose piece. The material acted kind of like noise reduction (sound dampening).
Foam could be used as well, wrapped around the silicone tube part that goes by the ears.
Have you tried ear plugs as well?
