RE: Who checks the pressure on CPap?
To check the pressure of a CPAP: no extra tools needed beyond a centimeter rule or measuring tape and a moderately deep sink. Fill the sink (8 inches is usually enough), turn on the machine, and stick the mask end of the hose into the water and when the bubbles stop, measure how deep the end is. 2.54cm per inch, if you don't have that centimeter rule handy.
It may not be as accurate as what happens when a mask is used, but probably accurate enough for most.
Precautions against putting the machine into the sink full of water apply.
