Anyone know if Respironics M Series is safe to use?

Anyone know if Respironics M Series is safe to use?
I have an M Series Auto circa 2009 that I still use as a backup/travel machine.  I know it is not covered under the recall, but does anyone know if it contains sound abatement foam and if it is safe to continue to use?

I have performed several searches, but don't see this being discussed anywhere.

Thanks in advance!

The M-Series machines are on a list of devices not affected: https://www.usa.philips.com/healthcare/e...src-update

Quote:What products are not affected and why?

Products that are not affected may have different sound abatement foam materials, as new materials and technologies are available over time. Also, sound abatement foam in unaffected devices may be placed in a different location due to device design.

Thanks for your inputs. It's long out of warranty so I popped it open. There are four different kinds of foam in it so not sure I feel real confident about it. None of the foam appears degraded in the least, but that machine has been going since 2009 and has been all over the world, so hopefully it really is safe to use.

I had the M-series back in the day. At 11-12 years of service, it doesn't owe you anything. How many hours are on the machine? I think I used mine to 18000+ and sold it quite a while ago.

Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only one still rockin' an M-Series; I'm guessing mine has something over 35,000 hours on it as I've been using it since November of 2007; is there any display I can bring up which will show the actual hours of usage?
