ariz - Therapy thread
i suffer from uars for 2 years which i managed with positional therapy, i had 9 teeth fillings over the course of 2 months where the last one was one month ago, since thenֿ i am unable to find a place to rest my tounge when closing my mouth into a resting posture, it feels like my tounge automatically goes too foward where it pushes my teeth or too backwards, two places where my tounge is not supposed to be, also it feels like my jaw is pushed upwards or downwards when i try to close it into a resting posture, this causes strain and discomfort and forces me to stay with my mouth open all day, but even when i close it my tounge doesnt go in place, since it started my sleep became incredibaly disrupted and i wake up multiple times during the night, i became so fatigued i am unable to work and stopped working, i tried to make fillings adjusments which didnt help and its been more then three months since it started so i would excpect it to go away if it was from a muscular cause and wont excpect it to cause the tounge thing im experincing, does anyone know what could this possibly be and what could possibly happen to my jaw (from the prolonged hyperextantion) thanks.

RE: need help
I had a similar challenge when I had to use Invisalign a few years ago to correct some teeth alignment issues. I found that the resting position should be with the front portion of my tongue resting lightly against my upper palate behind the upper teeth. It took a while to get used to it, but now works a charm. Worth a try.

need help with my Oscar chart
hey, so I got this chart from today which shows no flow limits and low ahi even tough I feel like I slept terribly wrong and have extreme fatigue and brain fog, I wanted to know if its possible that it didn't show flow limits for some reason and if so how can I make it show them properly? because im very skeptical that I had none, thanks

RE: need help with my Oscar chart
Great job figuring all of that out so far. I am still learning about the Lowenstein machines myself. Here is some help from your wiki on your Lowenstein machine (for optimization): Lowenstein PrismaLine optimization

RE: need help with my Oscar chart
Sure. I will try. You are still having CA's and a few H's. Flow limitations show 0.00
If you would please upload another OSCAR chart of your sleep for the entire night, but this time, collapse the calander on the left hand side so more date will be shown. Here are the exact instructions in how to post the best OSCAR chart: Organize your OSCAR Charts Any other questions, just ask.

RE: need help with my Oscar chart
Thank you for explaining that. I was going by the summary data that said, "0.0 flow limitations."
You machine should have different levels of softpap, etc. to try to better your sleep. You had 84 events flagged in this OSCAR upload chart. Only around 8 or so in the previous charts. That is a lot. Your machine may have a trigger setting as well: trigger determines how quickly the Lowenstein will trigger an inhale breath to occur (different speeds).
