I am still waiting for my replacement cpap the insurance approved, but I got an offer to switch to a better inurance some company etter benifits, but if I switch will I need a whole neew cpap presription from the doctor and new sleep study?

they may want copies, but so do you to keep in your personal file for reasons such as this.

Normally, your sleep study will be accepted by most insurance companies as they save money by not repeating the testing/titration process. You sleep study and prescription are part of your medical file and are available on request -- sometimes they will add a minor copying charge if it is sent to you rather than another physician or medical facility.

Your best bet is to contact the insurance provider and ask for a waiver or transfer of medical information between policy numbers. Normally, a policy swap just changes the policy details on your personal medical record and nothing else,

I had switched insurances and they said they would reach out and get my records and it would be no problem. (I wasn't waiting for a replacement tho) They even still are sending replacement parts in the meantime. Best of luck!
