incorrect first use date
I tried OSCAR for the first time.  The statistics report states the first used date is 2/11/23 but I have had the unit for over 8 years.

Any ideas why? Kinda important, I need to prove the unit is at least 5 years old

Look at the Total Run Hrs in the "About" menu tree.

Yes total hours is displayed on the device but I need the hours in a compliance report. Oscar stats report includes a first used date, why not total hours?

The AS 10 only stores data for 365 days.  How often do you download the SD card?  Also, go to the Preferences → Import tab and see if the Do not Import Before date is checked.

RE: incorrect first use date
If you didn't have an SD card in it before you started using OSCAR, the non-detailed data from before the SD card was used is only stored for 365 days in the machine's memory. AIUI, with an SD card in it will eventually start overwriting old sessions when space runs out, which I haven't gotten close to yet.

This is utterly normal.

Proving the unit is at least 5 years old is as easy as taking a picture of the label on the back of it and then looking up the serial number date range. Or finding documentation from when you paid for it 8 years ago, or from compliance reports from 8 years ago on file with your 8 years ago provider, which may be less easy, but should be possible.

Serial number. First two digits - where made. 22 Australia, 23 Singapore. Of course the label also says that in text.

Next two digits - year made. 17 = 2017, 19 = 2019, etc.

Never seen a decoder for more than that, though surely Resmed knows.

The year should be sufficient detail if you you need to prove a machine you've had for 8 years is more than 5 years old.

So if the serial number is 2215xxx...  that'd be Australian made in 2015

or 2314xxx... that'd be Singapore made in 2014

for example.

Another discussion here claims the 5th & 6th digits are the week of the year from 01 to 52
