RE: New user with questions and issues
Yes, the end events could indeed be SWJ, since I was in and out of sleep a lot at that time.
As for a collar and chin tucking, would that make any sense if I normally sleep on my stomach? I only slept on my back for that short period in the morning just to see what would happen - I normally never sleep that way since it requires a ridiculous amount of pillows in various parts of the bed to allow me to sleep on my back without irritating my tailbone.
I uploaded my redacted full sleep study to Dropbox here:

Yes, the collar still makes sense as you have to turn your head to the side to breathe. I'm a stomach sleeper as well and use a collar with my nasal pillow mask (Resmed P10). Most stomach sleepers are moving from stomach to side, so it is very applicable.
You can always try mouth taping as well. Many find it useful.
On YouTube LankyLefty27 (Jason Sazama) has many useful videos on masks, taping, collars, etc...
RE: New user with questions and issues
Thanks, I will consider the collar if things don't improve. I don't think I could tape my mouth because of the claustrophobia - between that and getting a full-face mask, I'd probably go with the mask. I have looked at a lot of LankyLefty's videos - they're great.
I had an excellent dialog with someone at the DME supplier today (I went to a different location than where I got my original equipment). He was very helpful, (unlike the person who gave me my original equipment who was brand new), and answered a lot of my random questions. He said I might have to go with a full face mask if the mouth popping keeps being an issue. I told him that other than that problem, the only issue I have with my current P30i mask is the noise from the tube, especially when the vent at the top of the head shoots directly into my pillow. I was somewhat interested in switching to the P10, but worried that if the tube in front was a problem for stomach sleeping, I'd be stuck with it for months until Medicare would pay for another mask, unless I wanted to pay out of pocket to go back to the P30i. He said that they had a demo available for an N20, which he thought might be a great mask for me. So I was able to bring that home and can use it for a few days to see what I think of it, without wasting my 1-time mask switch.
I tried it out this afternoon, and although it was pretty comfortable, I was surprised that I actually find it noisier than the P30i - I guess because the air vent is in front of my face, rather than above my head. I was also somewhat annoyed by the strong air flow coming out of the vent and hitting my hand and arm (or if sleeping with my head the other direction, it might be hitting my husband). At any rate, I'll try it tonight and see how it goes.
RE: New user with questions and issues
As an update on the N20... it was pretty comfortable to wear (definitely more comfortable under the nose than the pillows), no leakage, and was very quiet unless I was on my stomach - in which case the air coming from the hose was hitting the mattress and it was noisier than the P30i which has the vent overhead. If I fiddled with it enough every time I changed position, I was able to get it aimed so that the noise wasn't too bad. I didn't sleep very well, though, partly because I kept fiddling with the hose and was thinking about the mask and whether I was getting any leaks.
Overall, though, I think it's a great mask for anyone not sleeping on their stomach. For stomach-sleeping, I'm not sure that it's better for me than the P30i. I'll give it a try for another couple of nights and see if things improve, but one issue for me is that it seemed very hot to wear (I do have issues with night sweats). But it is great to have the opportunity to try a different style of mask.
