OSCAR PB or CSR data?
Hi, I'm new to OSCAR, new to AirSense11, and new to the forum,
I used to use the DreamStation 1 with Sleepyhead before the recall (for 5 years).
My question: I don't see either Periodic Breathing or Cheyne-Stokes Respiration (PB or CSR) on the OSCAR readout for the AirSense11. Is this because the statistic isn't recorded by the machine, or isn't displayed by OSCAR, or both, or neither?
When I drill down in the flow rate, I can see the tails of the breathing bursts for periodic breathing marked with CA which is shown on the left as "Clear Airway", and the guide talks about ResMed using the term CA for Central Apnea.
So in addition, my question is what am I looking at in the statistic CA on OSCAR with a ResMed?
Thanks in advance,
RE: OSCAR PB or CSR data?
You won't see CSR marked in the Events chart - it shows up as a span, rather than a flag - until the AirSense detects it for the first time. After that there will be space in the Events chart for it, whether or not it exists on any given day.
Most of the times that CSR is marked, it is usually Periodic Breathing - the Resmed doesn't discriminate very well.
Apnea Board Monitors are members who help oversee the smooth functioning of the Board. They are also members of the Advisory Committee which helps shape Apnea Board's rules & policies. Thank you! I will watch for it then, if past is prologue it will be there eventually.
