RE: Oscar data from my last three nights
There is nothing we can do until you get those leaks under control. Here are some things to consider.
  • Incorrect mask size - too large or too small
  • Incorrect headgear size - too much to too little headgear to support the mask
  • Mask too loose - pressure inflates cushions and pushes mask away from face, but if too loose it “toots”
  • Mask too tight - causes mask to wrinkle and leaves gaps for air leaks
  • Hole in hose - bloody cats, I’ve had to replace a few already from the cheeky buggers.
  • Poorly aligned water chamber - connection from chamber to seals must be tight
  • Mouth leaks - jaw drops allows air to escape with nasal masks and pillows, with FFM the lower lip may drop below the mask.
  • Mask pushed against pillow causing it to shift - as you turn about during sleep the mask may get pushed aside by the pillow. CPAP pillows may help. Also allows mask to “toot”.
  • Hose getting caught on something and pulling mask askew - hose management is very important to avoid this
  • Gremlins - don’t feed them after midnight, don’t let them get wet, and no bright lights
If you have a CPAP store near you, go in and have them size your mask and headgear. If you got it from a DME, go back and have them show you how to set things up. Depending on what mask you think you would be most comfortable with using, get the sizing guide for it and make sure you have the right size. Watch some LankyLefty27 YouTube videos on mask fitting and sizing.

Once you get the right setup working things will get much better. Hang in there.

those leaks are over the top. your mask is not sealing properly. you don't get woken up by the noise?

this is resmed's own fitting guide. but they don't always make the best suggestions for a good fit.

Try LankyLefty on YT to get a demonstration on your specific mask, why a specific model doesn't work for some people, and how a real person puts it on. Oddball humor, too. He might also have ideas for masks if this one doesn't work out for you.

Make a couple of changes at a time IMO when addressing a leak; there's a long list of possible sources, but some will be more annoying to adopt fixes for than others.

please keep all your questions related to your therapy to one thread so we can see the history.

good job dealing with the leaks. i would try to turn on EPR full time on 2 to try and deal with the remaining flow limits. i also think you should try mode autoset instead of autoset for her.

i think you can also raise the minimum pressure. you median pressure is pretty high at nearly 14 and you can see the machine rapidly raise pressure every time you put on the mask. w/e feels comfortable but slowly raising it to 9 or 10 would be a good start, to try and stabilize pressure.

RE: Oscar data from my last three nights Pt.2
I have a few suggestions.

Raise your minimum pressure to 11, maybe more later.  You are zooming up to 13 very quickly, so you clearly need more pressure.

If you are using ramp, turn it off.  You receive no therapy during ramp.

I think EPR should be set at 3, as your flow limits are quite high.

On your Oscar chart, remove the calendar.  This will show us more important information lower down.  Also on Oscar, we need to see to the very bottom of the flow limits.

Good luck with finding your best settings and treatment! Smile
