Usually my wife is the only one to notice, since I don't usually rush around in the morning, and the humor of the statement wore out after the 2nd or 3rd time, but if she keeps asking I'll keep with the same response. It's the little things Smile

"If I told ya, I'd have to kill ya" is my pat irritating answer. It has also long ago lost any humor.Wink

Fortunately, I was able to adapt to it quickly, to the point of reducing the ramp from 20 minutes to zero on the fourth day. I went from having dozens of centrals per hour in a sleep study (they were almost back-to-back between one or two abrupt breaths, time after time) to less than two, now...and on some nights, zero.

Adjusting the mask to fit properly, leak free, was important. Too loose was comfortable but the sudden leakage could wake me up. I don't have a problem with lines on my face.

I am so thankful to have my ASV. I'm glad it's working out very well for you.

My ramp is usually 5 mins at bedtime, or none; when I get up to go to the bathroom, I usually like to just go right back to previous pressure.

Do you know the cause of your centrals? I have a history of head injury; from domestic violence (and yes, I got away from him,) but I haven't yet gone for an MRI. I'm thinking about doing so. I'm hoping that my onset-centrals are "idiopathic" and not related to disease or a spinal issue.

Yes, a heart condition. The sleep specialist actually spotted it. He ordered blood work and the results came back, before my first cardiologist appointment. Both are now coordinating my treatment for both heart condition and sleep disorder.

I'm sorry that you go through that, but also glad you have the treatment you need. I went for a stress test, recently, because I wanted to make sure it was not my heart. Doctor said heart looked good, but I admit, I was scared.

I hope things continue to improve for you.
