Sleep Apnea CPAP/OSCAR/OSA/CA

Sleep Apnea CPAP/OSCAR/OSA/CA
Hi, I have started using my CPAP this week.

These were the pressures I used:

Day 1: 7cm-18cm  (My CA/OSA was 2.5 each)
Day 2: 9/10cm-16cm (I upped it to 10 during sleep because I thought I felt better with more pressure) - This decreased my OSA and increased my CA. (CA- 4.65/OSA .91)
Day 3: 8cm-14cm (My CA/OSA was 2.28 each) I figure this is due to lowering the pressure.

My initial sleep study diagnosed me with just OSA, no central apnea detected. I notice at time when im anxious or stressed, I hold my breath which may cause CA.

I was also newly starting ATIVAN/Lorazepam during my CPAP journey this week, which I just read this morning can cause CA. I have an 02 ring I wear and my heart rate while sleeping has decreased. I will be discontinuing my meds to see if there is a difference with my CA. Since I mostly have OSA in the past.

I'm trying to figure out a good min and max pressure or just one constant pressure.

I will be trying 8cm-11cm tonight to see what changes. I hope I'm able to figure this out.

I have two attachments showing Day 2 and Day 3, both have inconsistent CA and I was on medication right before bed at this time.

If anyone has time to discuss, I would appreciate the help.

Patricia

RE: Sleep Apnea CPAP/OSCAR/OSA/CA
Based on your OSCAR charts, I suggest the following settings:
Minimum presure 12 cm
Maximum pressure 16 cm
EPR=3 full time
Ramp off
Response Standard.

On September 6, you had positional apneas, as indicated by the clustered events. It would be best if you changed your sleeping position, tried sleeping on your side, and used a cervical collar and thin pillow.
