Apap- changing settings

My at home sleep study showed 107 AHI. Got an an apap with 4-20cm epr 2, currently averaging 3AHI and my average pressure is 19 per the machine.

I tried upping my min and making my range 7-20cm and ended up with 16AHI and 3 central episodes (no central episodes ever before). Why would this happen? I need to download Oscar but any recs in the meantime. I feel ok at 4-20cm but want the most effective settings

Hm, would like to see the oscar chart, that's strange, maybe someone has an idea of why?

Increasing pressure over 4 Min is a good idea for most. Bonus is it allows EPR to function all the time instead of waiting for pressures to increase.

The reason for this is that EPR, given that its action is to reduce pressure on exhale, can only do so if pressures allow. The AutoSet and almost all other CPAP have a hard minimum pressure they can go. On the ResMed AutoSet, this hard number is 4 cmH2O. So if 4 is already the min set, there's no room to reduce below 4 via EPR.

Here's the math if it helps, with EPR full time:
You want EPR of
1 then Min pressure 5 or more
2 then Min pressure 6 or more
3 then Min pressure 7 or more

Members can help otherwise more detailed when the OSCAR chart is available to us. It's possible, just a guess for now, the CA are treatment emergent. Due to using a CPAP, your exhale carries more CO2 than the brain calculated as your normal status. It will adjust to the new value by making you pause a breath.
